By downloading, installing, or using Vela – Period & Cycle Tracker (“the App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the App.
These Terms apply to the App published by Cartolinks (“we”, “us”, “our”) on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
Subject to your purchase and compliance with these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App on devices you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial purposes.
You may not:
Vela is sold as a one-time purchase through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. The price is £9.99 (or regional equivalent). You will be charged at the time of purchase through your App Store or Google Play account.
No subscription. There is no recurring charge. You pay once and own the licence indefinitely.
Refunds. Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google under their standard refund policies.
Future features. We may add premium add-on features in the future. Core functionality as described at time of purchase will remain available without further payment.
Vela is a personal tracking and logging tool. It is not a medical device, does not provide medical advice, and must not be used as a method of contraception or for medical diagnosis.
Cycle predictions are estimates based on historical data you have entered. They are not clinically validated. Do not rely on Vela predictions for contraception, family planning, or any health decisions.
If you have concerns about your menstrual health, consult a qualified healthcare professional.
All data you enter into Vela is stored locally on your device only. We have no server. We cannot access your data. See our Privacy Policy for a full technical explanation.
You are solely responsible for managing and backing up your data.
We aim to keep the App available and up to date, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. The App requires iOS 16 or Android 9.0 or later.
The App, including its design, code, graphics, and content, is owned by Cartolinks and protected by intellectual property laws. “Vela” and the Vela logo are trademarks of Cartolinks.
The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free or that cycle predictions will be accurate for your specific circumstances.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any statutory rights you have as a consumer.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cartolinks will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App.
Our total liability will not exceed the amount you paid for the App.
Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or fraud.
You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it. We may terminate your licence if you breach these Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top of this page will change. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
